Whole Person Impairment
The Whole Person Impairment Assessment is the assessment that determines how a covered injury impacts on a wide range of daily living activities. The assessment touches on social functionality ,relationship functionality and daily living tasks such as domestic chores. The outcome provides a lump sum payment of in the case of many claimants the Independence Allowance that was available under the 1998 Act. Lump sum payments for Sensitive Claimants apply to those who were assaulted after April 1st 2002. The Independence Allowance is reviewed after every 5 years and adjusted accordingly normally in the Corporations favour.
